Hi, we’re Lindsey and Zach! We’ve been married for 7 years, together for 12 years. Three years ago, we decided we wanted to grow our family and it’s been a string of bad news and chaos ever since. To keep it simple: our lab work/testing show nothing is wrong and we were moved into the ‘unexplained infertility’ category. Over the years, we have experienced an early miscarriage, months of hormone therapy, and two failed IUIs. We took a break to seek out a second opinion from a well-known fertility clinic and they are hopeful that IVF is a successful option for us. After verifying our insurance benefits and doing all the prep work to start the IVF process, we were informed that the insurance company provided incorrect information to the clinic and we do not have the coverage we were originally told. In the matter of a month, we went from being told we have 90% coverage to all treatments will be self pay. IVF can cost upwards of $25,000 through our chosen clinic with a $7,000 deposit prior to any treatment. We are crushed that all of the time, effort, and money we’ve put in over the years has the potential to be for nothing.

We both work full-time, work hard for our money, and try to save when we can. We are extremely fortunate to have a wonderful support system of family and friends who have stood by us through everything. Bringing a baby into our life is our responsibility and we never wanted to put out a public plea for financial help.. yet, here we are. We are willing to do whatever it takes to grow our family and are fighting for the chance to do so. Even if it is a small amount, we would be eternally grateful for anyone who is willing to assist in alleviating the financial burden of complete strangers.
